Bozeman Yellowstone Int'l Airport (BZN), a small hub airport located in beautiful Southwest Montana, with 1.2 million passengers & 80,000 operations annually is seeking one (1) Airport Duty Manager to complement our existing team. On a rotating shift basis, Airport Duty Managers oversee the day-to-day operation of the airport including compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and perform airport management duties with assigned responsibility for the safe, efficient, and secure operation of the entire Airport including Airside Operations, Landside Operations and Maintenance Operations. Airport Duty Managers have a broad-based knowledge of airport and airline operations including 14 CFR parts 77 and 139, 49 CFR 1500 series, AC's, Airport Certification Manuals, NIMS and familiarity with various government agencies, including the FAA, TSA and CBP. Additionally, each manager has direct oversight of one of the following areas: Airside Operations (including ARFF), Groundside Operations and Maintenance Operations (Building, equipment and airfield).
Position requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Airport or Aviation/Aerospace Management, Aviation/Aerospace Science, Business or Public Administration, or closely related field combined with a minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in airport operations including heavy equipment, snow removal and ARFF. Two years of supervisory experience is preferred. Candidates must have the ability to interact effectively with the public and airport stakeholders. Prior experience with a Fixed Base Operator (FBO), airline, air cargo carrier, airfield maintenance, and/or airport emergency services, and possession of a Private Pilot Certificate is desirable. Candidates must be available for night, weekend, rotating, or irregular shift assignments.
Applicant must be able to qualify within one month of employment for ARFF certification and obtain a Montana Class B Commercial Driver's license. Must be able to pass a criminal history background check and obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearances required to work at an airport.

BZN is currently served by six commercial air carriers, including American, Alaska, Allegiant, Delta, Frontier and United. Year-round service is provided to Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Denver, Las Vegas, Minneapolis/St Paul, Phoenix/Mesa, Salt Lake City and Seattle/Tacoma. Seasonal service to Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, New York LaGuardia, Newark, Portland Oregon and San Francisco occurs during the winter and summer. In addition, FBO services at the airport are currently provided by Arlin's Aircraft and Yellowstone Jet Center. BZN has developed and maintains a level of service that is highly respected throughout the Northwest by the flying public and the businesses located on the airport.
In 2017, BZN is expected to handle 1.2 million Total Passengers and 80,000 aircraft operations. Additionally, a robust General Aviation (GA) sector is an important part of BZN, with over 300 Based Aircraft representing approximately 80% of Total Operations.
