Under limited supervision, perform duties to support the Airport Director including administrative duties and coordination of the airport capital improvement program including grant administration, planning, project design, and project management functions; special projects as directed. Projects may include FAA mandated, state or local construction and improvement projects related to both airside and landside aspects of the Airport as well as responsibility for updating the airport's master plan, ALP or Exhibit A. Coordinates with airport operations and airport marketing on such projects. Reports to the Airport Director.
Coordinate and manage airport development, improvement, and construction projects from an administrative aspect. Work collaboratively with Airport Operations Manager on field aspects of airport projects. Assign, schedule and track all development and construction project requests. Handle various problems/issues that occur during construction administratively as well as in the field with limited time and information.
Coordinate and implement multiple airport marketing strategies and projects under general direction of the Airport Director. Ensures the currency and accuracy of information on the airport's website and social media accounts. Coordinates the preparation of press releases, brochures, memoranda, letters, reports, newsletters, and other internal or external communications.
Monitor development and capital projects budget and expenditures. Report necessary budget adjustments to airport management. Approve/recommend payments for maintenance, services and construction projects. Ensure compliance with all statutes, policies and procedures.
Work with various sections of both the state and federal government including the air traffic control tower, FAA facilities, FAA maintenance control center, FAA Airports District Office, Colorado Department of Transportation-Division of Aeronautics to coordinate and confer grant information and airport development.
Work with airport planning and engineer consultants. Manage and problem solve on various construction projects administratively and in coordination with airport operations on field work.
Respond as an airport representative to inquiries from Airport tenants, users, and the general public providing information based on considerable knowledge of airport programs and activities. Recommend solutions to problems and complaints.
Recommend the development of policies, procedures and programs related to airport projects. Ensure implementation of approved policies, procedures and programs. Suggest solutions to problems as they arise.
In conjunction with Airport Operation Manager, coordinate activities of technical and non-technical personnel connected to airport projects. Participate in interviewing, hiring, and training of airport staff. Resolve problems as situations arise. Ensure adherence to established policies, procedures and standards.
Provide support to the operations and maintenance department when required, including snow removal duties. Required to be on-call for support of all airport projects when needed.
Must have a valid driver's license, if you are from out of state, you must have a valid Colorado driver's license within 30 days of hire date and you must not have any major violations, nor more than one DUI, DWI, DWAI conviction in the past three years.
