The Aviation Department of the Port Authority of NY/NJ seeks an Aviation Operations Officer with extensive FAA Part 139 experience to lead the delivery of all essential aeronautical, technical, regulatory & operations support, and airport certification & safety services initiatives for our airport systems.
•Serve as the chief safety officer for the Aviation Department •Lead communication and collaboration with facility, Federal Aviation Administration and airline staff to gain buy-in on the department’s operations, regulatory and safety priorities
•Bachelor’s degree •10+ years of relevant regulatory/operational experience •Knowledge of Airport Rules and Regulations •Knowledge of continually changing Federal and State regulations related to airline operations, airfield operations, FAA and air traffic procedures, coupled with an understanding of National Airspace System •Industry background in one+: oPilot's license oAir Traffic Control license oPart 139 certification oAAAE Certification
