SUMMARY Under the general supervision of the Chief Commercial Officer, the SVP of Information Technology will be responsible for the overall vision, strategic leadership and direction of organizational information management practices, regional information technology partnerships, and the effective application and management of all information technology (IT) assets and services.
RESPONSIBILITIES: • Oversee the development, implementation, integration and operations of new and existing platforms and systems to satisfy current and future business needs across our organization and partnership brands. • Identify security vulnerabilities and eliminate them with strategic solutions that increase data safety. • Responsible for maintaining the ongoing business relevance, security, compliance, and cost effectiveness of the overall enterprise portfolio of information technology assets and services, including effective sourcing and benchmarking of services and staffing. • Acts as the organization’s leader and advocate regarding the role of information technologies in fulfilling the mission of the organization with both internal and external stakeholders. • Provides assistance, as necessary, in the solution of large and complex complaints, investigations, and other discrepancies or problems through effective IT policy interpretation, in accordance with authority interests. • Effectively manages budget by facilitating intelligent forecasting, maintaining effective budgetary controls, constructing contingency plans to stay within budgetary constraints, reducing expenses, and/or developing revenue generating opportunities. • Leads and provides general oversight of the IT infrastructure, provisioning, planning, installation and operation. • Research and plan for implementation of the most recent technologies in the industry.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: • Build relationships with external IT vendors and service providers. • Review the performance of IT systems and staff to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements. • Ready organization for IT security audits or investigations. • Manage security of network, systems, and enterprise information • Manage system hardware, operating systems, software, and procedures that adhere to the Authority’s values and goals. • Performs other related duties as required.
LEADERSHIP AND PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT: • Represents the organization, both internally and externally, by supporting the strategic direction, strategic priorities, objectives, vision, mission, and values of the Authority. • Establishes and communicates reasonable standards of performance. Continually evaluates the performance of subordinates and provides constructive guidance for improvement and development. • Instills teamwork and loyalty. • Organizes and plans departmental and/or functional activity. Anticipates needs, forecasts results, analyzes and organizes work processes and procedures, and delegates assignments and/or work tasks for results. KNOWLEDGE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY/ MANAGEMENT: • Thorough knowledge of management of IT industry technology, IT design, planning and directing IT day to day operations. • Responsible for developing effective strategies for deploying technology and software, testing hardware devices and applications before introducing them to management, and managing schedules and deployment. • IT Governance practices, policies and procedures as necessary in the completion of daily responsibilities. • Is able to develop and administer policies, procedures, plans and activities and to monitor performance of subordinates against measured established goals. • Is able to develop and implement short\long-term goals for the department in order to promote effectiveness and efficiency. • Ability to keep abreast of any IT technology direction, changes in policy, methods, operations, budgetary and equipment needs, etc. as they pertain to departmental operations and activities.

Develops cross-functional plans to execute against Authority vision on-time and on budget. • Team Leadership- Demonstrates executive presence. Facilitates teamwork and effective and efficient operations within senior team by promoting collaboration first versus providing specific direction (i.e., deciding the issue in conflict); facilitates discussions among leaders to help them develop solutions between themselves. • Customer Centricity- Demonstrates deep understanding of industry trends and fosters leading edge practices to satisfy the Authority's current customer base as well as developing an expanded customer base for the future.
REQUIREMENTS The following requirements list the minimum education/training/experience required to qualify for this job. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in computer science or a closely related field with a technical emphasis is preferred. Master’s Degree preferred. • Ten (10) years of high level experience in the IT industry, demonstrating progressive technical management experience across multiple functions. • Experience in the most current technologies and products used in the industry. Including recent experience with the latest Microsoft, HP, VMWare, Cisco, and related software technologies. Minimum 5 years managing IT systems, networking, and support teams. • Experience managing an enterprise wide business intelligence tool, such as JDEdwards, Oracle, or SAP. • Current, valid Pennsylvania Class C driver’s license or ability to obtain the same and maintain throughout employment.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED/ RECEIVED Directly supervise Vice President of Networks & Telecommunications / receive broad guidance from the Chief Commercial Officer.
