Garver is seeking an Aviation Planner to support our growing Aviation team. The location for this position is flexible. This position will be responsible for completing technical planning elements and supporting documents for Part 139 airports and general aviation facilities. Planning elements may include, forecasting, capacity analysis, facility requirements, alternatives development and CIP planning for master plan projects and other planning studies. Airfield planning will be a major focus of the position, but responsibilities will also include elements of landside access, ground transportation, vehicle parking, cargo, and support areas planning. System planning elements are also included in the list of possible planning assignments.
Responsibilities: Planning activities as part of a larger planning team. Direct the production of high quality exhibits and documents to communicate the results of the planning study elements. Contribute to the overall success of the team. Pursue certification (AICP, AAAE CM, PMP) as appropriate.
Bachelor's degree in aviation management, aeronautical science, planning, engineering, or a related field
3 -5+years of experience in aviation planning for Part 139 airports or similar experience
Technical expertise in standard planning procedures and approaches.
Knowledge of FARs, FAA Advisory Circulars, and FAA orders that apply to airport planning
Proficient in modeling, design and publication programs useful to airport planning document productio
