Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Assistant Vice President of Airport Operations Control will be a proven strategic leader who will drive operational excellence across three Airport functions—the Airport Operations Center (AOC), Corporate Aviation, and the Terminal D and E Ramp Control Towers.
This position requires a deep understanding of leadership, vision, and a high level of strategic thinking. As the AVP, you will participate in exciting, crucial projects such as designing a next generation Airport Operations Control facility that will improve operational efficiency and focus on an exceptional experience for DFW customers.

Assist in the overall planning, direction and coordination of services provided by the Airport Operations Center, Corporate Aviation, and the Terminal D and E Ramp Control Towers and serve as a critical team member in the design and development of an integrated 24/7/365 operations center.
Oversee operations at the Airport Operations Center, Corporate Aviation, and Terminal D and E Ramp Control Towers, ensuring compliance with Federal, State and local rules and regulations related to these activities.
Enhance employee engagement within the division, and develop programs and metrics to support performance expectations and development opportunities for division employees.
Develop and implement solid operating procedures, annual operating budget resources and capital funding requests for appropriate business units.
Oversee capital projects related to repair and enhancement of facilities.
Facilitate cross-departmental communications and project coordination.
Participate in emergency response planning and be prepared to fill a key position in the Emergency Operation Center during major incidents.
Support the overall Airport Board mission and strategic objectives as they apply to areas of responsibility and develop strong relationships with key internal partners and stakeholders.
What we require of you:
Bachelor's degree in aviation management, business or public administration or a related field
Minimum of five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in airport operations, or relevant field, including experience at a large commercial airport
Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible management and leadership experience
Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above
Possession of a valid Class C driver's license
