The Emergency Preparedness Manager at Massport manages the development, implementation, and administration of Massport's emergency management plans and programs. Oversees Massport's emergency support coordination, training, and exercise planning working closely with the operating units, Fire Rescue, the State Police, MPA police and airport operations at all airports and interacts with other Emergency Managers and agencies on a federal, state, and local level.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Aviation Management, Emergency Management, Criminal Justice or a closely related field; Master's degree preferred; and (within 1 year of hiring) successful completion of National Incident Management System (NIMS) - Incident Command System (ICS) Training (ICS 100, 200, 402, and 700). ICS 300 is optional.
EXPERIENCE: 5-7 years of experience in a security or public safety or emergency management role with a minimum of 5 years in a management or leadership position preferred.
