Develops, directs and coordinates policies, programs, procedures, standards, and schedules for building, vehicle maintenance, and field facilities. Working with the Airport Operation Director, coordinates work done by tenants and contractors. Inspects maintenance work for compliance with plans, specifications and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.File reports to the Director as to condition of buildings facilities, and vehicles. Reviews all plans, specifications, and contracts related to this division. Assists in budget planning, and prepares financial reports. Develops long range plans for airport maintenance. Reviews and drafts correspondence and reports. Remain accountable for inventory/property management.Develops schedules for all maintenance personnel and monitor their attendance, appearance, and general conduct. Ensure that airport maintenance staffs conduct themselves in a safe and professional manner. Performs other related duties as required.
B.S. Degree from accredited college or university preferably with some type of aviation or airport management courses.
Minimum of 5 years airport maintenance experience with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
Extensive Knowledge of FAR Part 139, Regulations, NFPA 407, and familiarity of TSA Part 1542 security requirements.
Extensive Knowledge of maintenance activities at commercial service airports.
Extensive Knowledge of airport procedures, policies and Federal Aviation guidelines and requirements.
Must be profiecient in HVAC systems and electronic remote controls.
Must have the ability to establish policies for compliance with federal, state and county guidelines.
Must have the ability to use highly technical computer applications.
Must have general knowledge of supervision, management, organization, and administration.
Must have or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire the necessary herbicide and pesticide licenses as required by Gregg County or the State of Texas.
Multi-craft maintenance experience and hands on experience working with various types of machinery and equipment
Must possess a valid Texas driver's license or obtain within 90 days of hire.
Must be able to pass a Criminal History background check.
Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
