The Senior Accountant performs advanced accounting and financial reporting functions in support of the Authority's finance operations. Responsibilities include general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, journal entries, month-end and year-end close processes, financial reporting, budget monitoring, audit preparation, and maintaining compliance with GAAP, GASB, and governmental accounting standards.
Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and a minimum of five years of progressively responsible accounting experience. Strong experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end close is required. Governmental, public sector, enterprise fund, and NetSuite experience are preferred.
