The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Human Resources. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, the Assistant Vice President, Human Resources is responsible for creating and implementing HR and organization development strategy; planning and delivering work that maintains the total human resources function. Other responsibilities include the oversight of the administrative department for the MNAA. Developing, communicating, and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and work instructions are a key function of the position as well as assisting and coaching MNAA managers/supervisors concerning HR-related issues.
The successful candidate will have earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field and have ten years of relevant experience. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Human Resources management, business administration, or related field, and ten plus years of relevant experience. SHRM-SCP or SHRM SPHR certification is desirable.

Additional Salary Information: The salary range for this position is $135,000 to $150,000 with an exceptional benefit package. In addition to base salary, the incumbent is eligible for a 12% bonus, and a DC plan contribution of 10% annually, if the employee contributes 1% into the plan.

The MNAA is a quasi-governmental entity, an independent Authority, with two principal functions. The first is planning, construction, operation, and management of Nashville International (BNA) and John C. Tune (JWN) Airports. The second is to assure promotion and development of commerce and industry though air transportation. MNAA owns and operates its facilities without the benefit of local property tax dollars.
BNA’s properties include more than 4,500 acres, an 820,000 square foot passenger terminal, and four runways with the largest being 11,000 feet. BNA is served by 12 airlines operating to 48 non-stop markets. Total passengers at BNA were nearly 10 million in FY 2011, and nearly 44,000 tons of cargo were handled. Total operations were near 175,000 for the year. BNA also serves over 180 based general aviation aircraft as well as the Tennessee Air National Guard. The FY 2012 operating budget is $67,625,394 and the capital improvement budget is $19,588,000.
