Charlottesville Albemarle Airport Authority is currently seeking a strong, motivated leader to serve as the Chief of Public Safety for CHO Airport. The Chief is responsible for directing all police, fire, and emergency medical response requirements of the Public Safety Department in accordance with the Commonwealth of Virginia, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulatory requirements. Work performed includes duties that directly impact the safety and security of personnel and equipment and must be of a top professional level at all times. Airport Authority Application is required. A minimum of ten (10) years of work experience as a sworn Commonwealth Police Officer, with at least eight (8) of those years in a command/leadership role overseeing a team of law enforcement officers is required. Possession of Virginia Basic Law Enforcement Training certification is preferred or must be obtained within 12 months of hire date. Bachelor of Science Degree is preferred. |
