Full Time - Experienced
Lead the lease administration team to ensure quality work product through empowering leadership, process standardization and improvement, resulting in improved team engagement and performance. Additionally, this position will develop and manage programs to improve tenant communication, as well as conformance with evolving organizational policy, state, federal and other legal requirements.
Lead, supervise, train and develop the lease administration team to include but not limited to: professional development of team members, workload assignments and priorities, and creating a positive work environment for lease admin staff dedicated to the Aviation Division.
Provide oversight to the lease management system (PROPworks) lease term and provision input standardization, improvement, configuration, and report writing.
Support Finance and Budget in the development of annual rates and charges, provide monthly/annual reports, and ensure a program is in place to certify tenant insurance and surety are in good standing.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Understanding of complex leases, terms, provisions, and different agreement types. Broad knowledge of financial principles and calculations as they relate to agreements, accounting, and billing is important. Experience with interpreting legal provisions and requirements essential. Advanced knowledge of accounting and property management systems (i.e. Peoplesoft, PROPworks or equivalent); knowledge of business processes, accounting, and data management. Understanding of commercial leases, rents related to concession programs, airline/aviation data and associated business concepts. Understanding of business requirements, process development, guidelines, policies, standards, and workflows.
Skills in the following areas: decision making, prioritization, delegation, process management, problem solving, trouble shooting, communicating, and deciphering lease terms. Planning, increasing engagement, development of work performance metrics, and communication skills (dashboards/report writing/reading) are important skills. Financial analysis and modeling skills to determine the best approach to estimating complex revenue projections and develop worksheets to aid in the review of billing reports will be necessary.
Ability to lead a team, create a positive work environment, and develop staff members. Capability to lead and train complex technical concepts, and develop team ownership in daily work and process development. Capacity to make decisions or provide feedback and/or direction in a timely fashion. Ability to influence and motivate others outside of direct reports is important. Aptitude to identify data to establish metrics and a dashboard to keep abreast of the team performance. Ability to embrace technology and apply to process management and information communication is important.
QUALIFICATIONS: Combination of education and experience demonstrative knowledge, skills and abilities equivalent to:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration , Real Estate, Property Management, Accounting, Pre-law or a related field;
Five (5) years of experience in commercial lease administration, lease accounting, and/or property management; and
Seven (7) years of experience leading a team in an accounting, lease management, property/concession management, commercial real estate, paralegal or clerical office.
