The DPC at CLE is seeking a Procurement Officer. This position is responsible for planning and administering all functions related to procuring goods, services and contracts in accordance with City/DPC policies and procedures, ensuring procurements are managed in the most efficient and ethical manner. This role requires the ability to oversee the Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Qualifications (RFQ), Board of Control resolutions, bid solicitations, evaluations and pre-bid conferences.
Under the general direction of the procurement manager, responsible for developing, planning and administering all procurement functions and contracts
Proven effective communicator, both orally and in writing
Manages and leads the bidding process
Assists in the development, implementation and publishing of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) associated with procurement
Analyzes procurement best practices and ensures most effective, efficient and ethical policies and practices are implemented
