Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: • Daily airside, landside and terminal inspections • Responsible for inspections, documentation, follow up, and close out of discrepancies at fueling locations. • Issues work orders & coordinates necessary maintenance • Maintains and implements the Airport’s Natural Disaster Plan & Wildlife Management Plan. • Coordinating airport construction, special events, and emergency response; • Issues NOTAMs; • Responds to safety, security, and other matters including aircraft alerts. • Active participation in and planning of Triennial Disaster Drill. • Conducts security and driver’s training and issues ID Media. • Ensures compliance with purchasing laws while soliciting bids/quotes and development of contracts for small construction projects/large purchases. • Implements and updates ACM, AEP, ASP, WHMP, SWPPP; • Participate in yearly FAA Part 139 Certification Inspection; • Regularly interact with general public, community leaders, governmental officials, military personnel, airport executive staff, and Board of Commissioners.
The Gulfport–Biloxi International Airport is seeking motivated applicants to become an Operations Supervisor. Under the direction of the Director of Operations and Maintenance, plans, organizes, and supervises airside and landside operations on a rotating shift. The following are required.
Completion of 4-year degree in Airport or Business Management, or related field
Internship at 139 commercial service airport or related experience
Familiar with FAR Part 139 and TSAR 1542
Private Pilot Certificate preferred
Completing and maintaining training certification for including but not limited to the following: FAA required 139 training, NIMS training, Airfield Driver’s training, AAAE ASOCS, wildlife training, firearms (shotgun) training, Fuel Farm Auditor Training, Trusted Agent Training, in some cases Airport Security Coordinator Training, etc.…
