Airport Certification Specialists are responsible for: -inspecting facilities; -ensuring compliance with federal, state and local rules and regulations; -implementing policies; -maintaining records/reports; -planning, executing and monitoring work; -issuing NOTAMs; -participating in emergency responses; -acting as a first ARFF responder; -snow removal; -implementing/monitoring/enforcing programs; -conducting training; -responding to noise complaints; performing minor maintenance or other duties.

Any equivalent combination of education, ability, and experience which provides:
Knowledge of FAR Part 139, Advisory Circulars (ACs), maintenance practices, and related FARs
Oral/written communication skills
Ability/skill in the operation of airport equipment/vehicles and to perform ARFF/snow removal
General business and public relations knowledge
Ability to make difficult judgments/decisions related to airport operations
Additional Salary Information: Union position with benefits eligibility, participation in retirement plan, and possible tuition assistance. Starting salary step is approximately $42,000/yr with possible shift differential.
