The Northern Colorado Regional Airport seeks a highly qualified individual to plan, develop, implement, and administer business development initiatives and planning strategies that align with policies outlined by the Airport's adopted Strategic and Master Plans. We are seeking someone that will utilize an entrepreneurial approach, collaborative leadership style, and effective analytical skills, to perform these functions in addition to fostering relationships with leadership and staff from regional organizations. Primary objectives of this position include: initiation and leading activities related to airport planning and development, enhancing revenue generation and diversification, coordination of development submittals, and assisting with capital project planning and management activities.
Prepares requests for proposals, recommends selection for external professional services, reviews work scopes, writes contracts, directs the work of consultanting partners, assists with cost estimation, and submits progress reports to management.
Establishes and oversees processes for marketing, negotiating, and recommending award for business development opportunities for Airport owned property, and land adjacent that could request airport access.
Prospects new development and businesses interested in establishing a presence at the Airport by researching various resources for potential businesses, creating proposals, and conducting presentations to prospective tenants.
Champions, cultivates, and oversees the Airport's "customer first" organizational approach for customer service on a daily basis.
Coordinates the negotiation of new business opportunities with current and prospective tenants of the Airport including specific terms and conditions, development plans, investment, and financing.
Coordinates the engagement of industry specialists to analyze opportunities and market them to prospective Airport users.
Represents the Airport at networking, business events, and industry trade shows. Initiates and maintains strong and productive client relationship management strategies and tactics to ensure opportunities for investment in the Airport.
Effectively interfaces with other Airport staff and policymakers in the research and analysis required to support development opportunities and associated marketing materials.
Oversees real estate, property management, and associated planning functions of the Airport.
Coordinate with internal and external development partners to develop long term strategies for infrastructure in and around the Airport including the City of Loveland's Development Services Department, Public Works Department, Power Division, the Fort Collins- Loveland Water and South Fort Collins Sanitation Districts, Excel Energy, and Communications network providers.
Support compatible land use surrounding the airport by actively participating in land use proposals and planning updates by area municipalities including the Cities of Loveland, Fort Collins, and Larimer County.
