PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This is an entry level position; the Airport Firefighter/Operations Coordinator position is responsible to perform all operational and safety functions at the airport during an assigned shift, operating within established guidelines and procedures. Performs duties in the fire services area of assignment and airport operations.
Duties to include, but not limited to, enforcing federal, state, local rules and regulations applicable to airport operations; responds to emergencies; responding and ensuring the coordination of IROPS; monitors aircraft operations. Performs FAR 139 airfield inspections, terminal and landside inspections as required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA); ensures Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), responds to tenants/public inquiries and complaints; prepares related reports; works under the general direction of the ARFF Chief.
Citizen or legally able to work in the United States
IFSAC/ProBoard/AZ Firefighter 1&2
Pass a criminal history records check per Title 49 CFR Part 1542.
Pass a pre-employment drug test and all subsequent random drug tests conducted during employment.
21 years old
High School Diploma or GED
Possess or obtain upon employment, a valid Arizona driver’s license
Must obtain AZ EMT certification within one year of hire
