Responsible for managing engineering, planning and construction administration services for construction and development projects at the Memphis International Airport, Charles W. Baker Airport and General DeWitt Spain Airport. Evaluates projects for feasibility and/or constructability, develops estimates, recommends course of action, and determines reasonable schedule. Negotiates contracts and reviews documents for conformance to best engineering and construction practices. Provides day-to-day direction to project engineers, engineering technician, program manager, architectural/engineering consultants under contract. Facilitates Engineering and Construction RFQs and RFPs.
Requires Bachelor's degree in Engineering and current licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.). Must obtain designation as a P.E. in the State of Tennessee within two (2) years of employment. Five (5) years of experience in engineering and/or construction related to civil airports. Demonstrated supervisory/management experience. Knowledge of project planning and development and contract negotiations.
