RAP is seeking a self-motivated team player who is looking for that next stretch opportunity. The Airport Director of Operations, reporting to the Airport Executive Director, is responsible for managing the day-to-day airport operations, security and ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations. The Director of Operations maintains all qualifications and certifications for performance of TSA 49 CFR 1542 Security and FAA CFR Part 139 operations. Assists with development of department policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and standard operating guidelines (SOG).
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Airport Management or a directly related field from an accredited four-year college or university and five to seven years progressively responsible experience in airport facility maintenance or aviation operations.
Preferred: Master’s degree in Aviation Management or related field preferred. AAAE Airport Certified employee (ACE) of Security, Certified Member, and/or Accredited Airport Executive is desired. Prior personnel management highly preferred, specifically within an airport environment.
Must possess a valid South Dakota driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days from date of hire. Must possess certification as an AAAE Airport Certified employee (ACE) of Operations or ability to obtain within 1 year from date of and have ability to obtain and maintain a Secure Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge. Must obtain and maintain an Airport Movement Area Drivers permit within 30 days from date of hire.
