The City of Morgantown is seeking an Airport Director to supervise and direct the operations and maintenance activities of the City's Airport Directorate. The successful candidate will direct the twenty-four (24) hour-a-day, seven (7) day a week operation of the Morgantown Municipal Airport (MGW) and is fully accountable to meet the regulatory compliance requirements of a Federal Aviation Administration Certified Commercial Air Carrier Airport. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree preferably in aviation management, transportation, business administration or related field and six (6) years (or equivalent) of experience in airport operations or administration, five (5) years of which are in a supervisory / management position.

Experience in supervising engineering and construction contractors to ensure contract and FAA regulatory construction compliance and knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) compliance.

Accreditation from the American Association of Airport Executives
Master's degree in Airport Management, Business Administration, or Public Administration
Private pilot’s license
