The Airport Administrative Officer assists the Airport Manager with day to day administrative tasks associated with the operation of Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport. Position demands a high level of professionalism and involves multiple duties including, record keeping, overseeing the budgeting, human resource liaison, personnel, cash management and other tasks as assigned by the Airport Manager. •A combination of education and experience may be considered when screening applicants.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance or Accounting desirable but not required
Knowledge of QuickBooks/bookkeeping
Knowledge/experience with Human Resource responsibilities

Regular and Expected Tasks
QuickBooks bookkeeping including, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
Responsible for the Human Resources
Prepares and maintains Federal and State reports
Prepare agenda packets for Dickinson Municipal Airport Authority board meetings; attends Authority Board meetings to take and prepare meeting minutes.
Receives and directs incoming calls and/or visitors; takes messages, determines needs, answers general questions
Open, sort and distribute mail; stuffs envelopes and addresses outgoing mail; may weigh mail, affix postage
Sets up and maintains files and record keeping systems; files and retrieves documents as necessary.
Is responsible for the development of parking reports, stocking and monitoring the cash parking machine located in the terminal
Responsible for the administration of the parking computer
Assists the Airport Manager and Operations Supervisor with security requirements and documentation.
Alternate Airport Security Coordinator (ASC)
Assists the Airport Manager with terminal marketing and advertising
Will occasionally assist operation and maintenance personnel with shoveling snow in front of the terminal
Any additional duties as assigned by the Airport Manager
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must be proficient in the Accounting software Quick Books
Must have knowledge of Human Resource practices
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Effectively communicate with airport tenants, and other airport personnel in person, in writing, or by phone.
Ability to operate a computer and a tablet
Ability to operate vehicles in a safe, effective and responsible manner
The use of a telephone, computer, printer, plotter, and other office equipment.
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and payroll practices and procedures
Document and report composition
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Follow written and verbal communications.
Work independently and maintain flexibility with regard to fast changes in task assignments as well as multiple task assignments

Must be able to bend, reach, push, pull, squat, climb, grasp and lift 40 pounds to waist level.
Moderate lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching and bending is involved
May occasionally sit or stand.
Work performed indoors but work outdoors in all seasons may be necessary.
Typically sits at a desk occasionally walks, stands or stoops, ascend/descend stairs, ramps and the like using feet and legs, and/or hands and arms.
Must possess a valid Class D Driver’s License
Must be able to pass a Security Threat Assessment and a 10 Year Criminal History Records Check
