The Portland International Jetport has a new position for a Customer Experience Manager. This position reports to the Assistant Airport Director and is a member of the management team. The selected candidate will be a creative and energetic leader who has the strength in building new programs and is a great communicator. This position will also oversee the Airport Ambassador Program, Airport Service Quality Surveying, Airport Marketing and Communications Coordinator and two internal Customer Relations Specialists. Will also be responsible for internal and external communications to team members and the general public on customer experience shortfalls and success and will also directly interact with the community in person, via the website, and social media channels. This position will be front and center in reinforcing the Jetport's core values of Safety, Service, Teamwork and Trust. Previous airport experience preferred. Starting salary range: $33.83 - $36.96 per hour. Deadline: June 30, 2019.
Ability to pass all required background investigations and maintain a valid Class C Maine Driver’s License. Bachelor's degree with major course work in aviation management, business management, or a related field or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training. Previous experience in airport/airline service. Prior experience at a FAR Part 139 certified airport. Prior experience with 49 CFR 1542 and airport security. Knowledge of FAA and TSA regulations, specifically Part 139, Part 77, and 49 CFR 1542 and their potential impacts to the customer experience. Experience using a computer including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Google Docs. Excellent organizational and communications skills. Ability to deal effectively with tenants, the public, and City, state and federal agencies. Ability and willingness to work an occasional holiday, weekend, and fill in the shift schedule for the Customer Relations Staff when necessary. Prior supervisory experience. Necessary Special Requirements: Valid Maine Class C Motor Vehicle Operator’s license. Must be able to pass all local and federal background investigations, specifically TSA regulation 49 CFR part 1542 as published in the Federal Register.
Additional Salary Information: This is a 37.5 hour per week position Non-Union Grade C43.
