Responsibilities: Supervising the day to day operations of two general aviation airports, managing the work of a small maintenance team, and ensuring airport activities comply with regulations, policies, and procedures. Planning, developing, and implementing annual and long-range planning and programming activities including capital infrastructure improvements. Coordinating extensive public involvement with the public, other government agencies, airport tenants and businesses, pilots, and the FAA. Seeking new revenue sources for operations and capital programs, marketing airport opportunities, and focusing on long-term economic sustainability of the airports. Assisting the Airport and Ferry Administrator with the development of biennial budgets and the overall management of the Airport and Ferry division.
Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Transportation Planning, Business or Public Administration, Engineering, or related field and four years of progressively responsible airport management, transportation program administration, planning or analysis experience which includes two years in a lead or supervisory capacity OR any equivalent combination of education and experience which includes one year in a lead or supervisory capacity is required. A Master's degree in Business, Public Administration, or related field is preferred.
