The Director of Operations directs and manages all airport operations functions of the Grand Junction Regional Airport Authority, the fourth busiest airport in Colorado. The airport is growing rapidly and currently provides nonstop service to Denver, Salt Lake City, Dallas/Fort Worth, Phoenix, Chicago, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles, serving nearly 500,000 passengers annually. It also has a robust general aviation operation, averaging over 150 aircraft operations daily and home to many local aviators and a large, diverse set of commercial operators.
The focus of the Operations Director is leading a team that facilitates a safe, secure, and efficient operating environment so those who travel to and from the airport save time and travel better and the airport can continue to be a strong economic driver for the region. Functional areas of responsibility include: airside operations; airport security; airport rescue and firefighting (ARFF); FAA and TSA regulatory compliance; emergency response; and airport fleet management. The Director of Operations is one of seven members of the Airport leadership team, a team who is expected to serve with a great attitude and strong work ethic the Grand Junction community and all who travel here.
