Shoreline Aviation is seeking a highly qualified, motivated individual for the position of Airport Manager, who will be responsible for management and oversight of safety and operations of the Marshfield Municipal Airport- KGHG in Marshfield, MA. Shoreline Aviation manages KGHG for the Town of Marshfield. In addition, Shoreline is a full service FBO and on-demand charter/management company. The Airport Manager will be joining Shoreline’s team of approximately thirty dynamic aviation professionals. Marshfield Municipal Airport is a general and corporate aviation airport with a single 3900 x 100’ runway located on the beautiful southeast coast of Massachusetts. The Airport Manager will be responsible for management and oversight of all airport functions involving safety and security, airfield inspections, capital projects, financial matters, contracts, oversight of operations personnel, correspondence, public relations, maintenance, construction, grounds, and regulatory compliance and enforcement. The Airport Manager will be supported by administrative and operations staff.
Act as liaison with the Marshfield Airport Commission, government agencies, airfield tenants, and airport neighbors and local community leaders
Oversee day to day operations at the airport with a constant focus on safety and security
Assume responsibility for efficient operational management of all functions of a municipal airport, update emergency response plans, conduct training
Carry out all matters of policy established by Shoreline leadership and the Marshfield Airport Commission
Annually review, or more frequently if necessary, all insurance coverage, permits and licenses granted by and/or held by the Commission and take appropriate renewal, enforcement or notification action
Prepare all grant requests for federal, state and local approval and funding, and work with airport consultant to develop the airport’s capital improvement and ongoing maintenance plans
Develop the annual operating and capital budgets for the airport with the assistance of the Airport Consultant and Airport Commission
Oversee processing and tracking of all airport invoices, payment vouchers, grant paperwork, project estimates (FBO accounting is a separate system and is not part of the Airport Manager Duties)
Conduct snow removal operations and condition reporting via NOTAMS, 24/7/365. Operations team will assist with these activities, but primary responsibility lies with the Airport Manager
Be available twenty-four hours a day by cell phone for emergency situations, or arrange appropriate coverage of appropriately qualified backup operations personnel when not available
Active member and leader of operations team that provides coverage for daily operations of the FBO. Normal FBO hours are 7 days per week, 0800 to dusk. After hours support is regularly required for Shoreline fleet operations as well as visiting aircraft. Airport manager will occasionally be required to participate in afterhours service on a rotating basis with other operations team members
Manage operations personnel and training
Ensure airport staff follows aviation safety and security rules. Provide training to airport staff in safety and emergency procedures, follow government rules and regulations for airport operations. Review and revise airport safety and security plans as needed
Manage security training and airport badging program
Inspect runway grounds and lightings on regular basis, and as required by standard operating procedures, consistent with state and federal requirements and industry best practices
Manage airport wildlife hazard program
Manage equipment maintenance schedules and ensure that airport equipment is maintained in good working order
Perform all other duties, functions and responsibilities as may be assigned by Shoreline Aviation
Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, transportation planning, or related field
Minimum of three (3) years experience in airport operations/administration at a public-owned airport, five (5) years of supervisory experience preferred
Thorough working knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, advisory circulars, environmental regulations, and Massachusetts laws and regulations related to airport operation, design, construction/alteration and development
Valid Massachusetts Class D driver’s license with excellent driving record, able to operate equipment and machinery, including but not limited to plows, tractors, ground support equipment
Ability to obtain a Massachusetts Airport Manager’s License within three months of employment
Certified Manager or Accredited Airport Executive credential a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills including proficiency with all Microsoft Office programs to facilitate development of budgets, presentations, project management, manuals, policies, schedules, procedures
Strong financial and organization skills, proficiency with Microsoft Excel, budgets, invoice/payment voucher tracking, financial forecasting
Excellent project management skills including oversight of all airport projects. Airport engineering and consulting support will be provided
Excellent community relations skills, ability to build strong relationships with different regulatory agencies, law enforcement, community organizations, local government, tenants, and the public
Strong event management skills for community events hosted by airport (events typically include an annual outdoor community movie during the summer months, a biannual Public Safety Day featuring displays by numerous public safety agencies, and occasional pilot training seminars). Administrative staff will assist with event management.

Environmental: Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and indoor/outdoor environments with aircraft/machinery noise
Background Check: Candidate must pass a rigorous background check, including driving record, criminal record, prior drug & alcohol testing records. Safety sensitive employees are subject to pre-employment drug screening and ongoing random drug and alcohol screening
