AIRPORT MANAGER Augusta, KS – Salary: Up to $50k, DOQ – competitive benefit package
Under the supervision of the Assistant City Manager, the Airport Manager strategically directs the growth of the Augusta Municipal Airport. The Airport Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, ensures the safety of the airport, and manages tenant leases and relationships. The Airport Manager is responsible for coordinating with state and federal agencies, such as the Kansas Department of Transportation – Aviation Division and the Federal Aviation Administration.
Immediate Key Projects include: •Finishing land acquisition to the south of the airport •Runway design and AGIS Survey (FFY21) estimated project cost: $500,000 •Project management of runway reconstruction (FFY22) estimated project cost $6,085,000

Education, Licensure, or Certification
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Airport Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field, required.
Three to five (3-5) years of progressively responsible experience directly related to airport management and operations desired.
Membership with the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) strongly desired.
Certified Member (C.M.) or Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) accreditation is preferred.
Valid Kansas Driver’s License required at all times during employment.
Additional Salary Information: The City provides a comprehensive benefits package including bundled Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription coverage at 9% of total cost.
