The MBS Airport Commission is seeking an Airport Director to administer the overall operation of the MBS International Airport. Located in Freeland Michigan the airport has a $4.5 million annual operating budget and 25 full-time employees. The Director will report to a nine member independent commission and is required to plan, organize and direct the operations, business and maintenance activities of the airport. The ideal candidate should have a degree in aviation management or related field and at least five years management experience at a Part 139 airport. Accredited Airport Executive designation is preferred. Salary range is $129,000 - $141,000 DOQ with excellent benefit package. Must be able to obtain a Michigan driver’s license and pass a ten year fingerprint-based criminal history record check. The airport is a full service Part 139 air carrier airport served by Delta and United Express. The airport commission currently has 25 employees including administration, maintenance and ARFF.
