The Coastal Carolina Regional Airport (EWN), located in New Bern, North Carolina, is currently recruiting for the position of Airport Business Manager. The Business Manager is a vital member of the Airport leadership team and is responsible for oversight of Airport finances and business administration strategy for revenue generating activities including contracts, leases and agreements. Additionally, this position is instrumental in Airport property management and development and also conducts planning to recruit business for the Airport. The Business Manager reports to the Airport Director and works in close collaboration with the Airport Operations and Facility Manager. We seek a candidate who will have dedicated focus and initiative to advance the interests and needs of the airport while maintaining excellent relationships with all Airport stakeholders.
Qualified candidates will possess:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from a college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
5+ years accounting and finance including supervisory experience required, prior airport finance and administration as well as economic development and marketing experience strongly preferred
Effective critical thinking ability to identify and analyze issues and recommend and implement alternative solutions in support of compliance and airport business objectives
Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build strong rapport with all internal and external customers of the Airport
Ability to multi-task, organize and direct work to meet deadlines
Ability to pass all background checks including a background security check to obtain and maintain a Security Identification Area (SIDA) badge as well as a pre-employment drug test. Valid NC driver’s license is required.
