•This is airport administrative work directing a comprehensive safety and security program for a small size airport. An employee in this class directs all safety and security efforts to ensure the airport meets Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and (FAA) Federal Aviation Administration regulations and requirements. The employee is responsible for reviewing and interpreting the impact of all TSA regulations and FAA, amendments, and advisories on safety and security activities and making resultant recommendations for revisions to airport security and safety policies and procedures. An employee in this class directs, through subordinate supervisors the operation of the Identification Badge/Access Media office, the Interactive Employee Training Center and results of employment history, verification, and criminal history records checks. Completion of a bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university, with major course work in business administration or aviation management or a closely related field. AND
Three years of experience in airport operations or administration at an airport serving scheduled air carriers. AND ARFF, First-Aid, CPR, Incident Command and Emergency First Aid
Three years of experience directing, through subordinate supervisors, the safe and efficient operations of an Airfield, Landside, Noise or Terminal operations program .
Fire Department Operations, ARFF, Emergency First-Aid, CPR and Incident Command
THE FOLLOWING CLASSES TYPICALLY MEET THE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS CLASS:
Any equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable by the Office of Human Resources, which has included the education and specific experience described above.
Licenses, Registrations And/Or Certificates
Possession of a valid proper class motor vehicle operator's license as issued by the State of WV prior to appointment and during tenure of employment as Director of Airport Safety & Security.
Completion of Airport Security Coordinator subject matter training under Title 49 CFR 1542.3 prior to appointment and during tenure of employment as Director of Airport Safety & Security.
