| The Controller for Pitkin County will be responsible for the Aspen Pitkin County Airport (ASE) in addition to other County funds. This is a new position for the County and would make a great challenge for an Airport Finance professional to broaden their horizons into County Government finance. Qualified candidates will be familiar with administrative and technical accounting functions of assigned funds, financial reporting, statement preparation, auditing, fiscal management reviews, contract management oversight and related accounting, auditing, and fixed asset functions.
Qualified candidates will be knowledgeable in the following: Government accounting principles, practices, procedures and transaction processes, to include laws and regulations pertaining to governmental accounting and auditing programs, GAAP, GASB, and FASB, budgeting, auditing, and grant administration/regulations governing governmental and municipal accounting, reconciliation of accounts. Experience in the following aviation-specific areas AIP, PFC, CFC, federal airport agencies, airlines, vendors/concessions, FAR 139 and TSR 1542 |
