FSM is a non-hub commercial service airport located in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The airport is a key element of the transportation system that serves the residents and businesses of Western Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma. FSM is home to approximately 77 corporate and general aviation aircraft, as well as the 188th Wing of the Arkansas Air National Guard. The airport’s primary runway is 8,017 x 150-feet with dual instrument landing systems. The crosswind runway is 5,002 x 150-feet. Air Traffic services are provided by the Federal Aviation Administration from an Air Traffic Control (ATC) Tower and TRACON (Terminal Radar Approach Control). The airport is located just off Interstate 540 within an eight-mile radius of Interstate 40 and future Interstate 49, providing excellent access to ground transportation.
