The City of Charlotte is seeking a Chief Operating Officer who will be responsible for all aspects of airport operations at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). The COO provides strategic leadership, vision and staff support in accomplishing the effectiveness of airside operations, landside operations, terminal operations, airport security, gate management, emergency management, and the airport operations center. The COO also may be assigned as a delegate for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in his or her absence. Requires a master’s degree plus five years of experience, a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and seven (7) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work/industry/military/job specific experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the essential job duties.
