Routt County, Colorado is recruiting for the Operations, Safety, and Security Superintendent for the Yampa Valley Regional Airport (HDN). The OSS Superintendent reports directly to the Airport Director and provides managerial direction and supervision to subordinate supervisors and staff performing Operations, Safety, and Security (OSS) Division duties, including Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) activities. These activities include planning, organizing, training, equipping, and directing staff to administer all aspects of airport operations, safety, and security in accordance with department policies as well as federal, state and local rules and regulations. In addition to ensuring that airport personnel are trained and ready to respond to emergencies, disasters, and security threats.

Six years of progressively more responsible experience in aviation with oversight, budget, and management responsibilities.
Significant knowledge and experience working with FAA representatives under Part 139 or with a complex Part 121 airport, working knowledge or regulations Parts 1542 and 1544 and three to five years' experience directly leading various work groups.
