Performs daily self-inspections, wildlife hazard management, and other duties required by the Airport Certification Manual. Operates light vehicles and equipment in various airport operations (snow removal, mowing, etc.). Performs light, minor vehicle and equipment repair, and preventative maintenance. Secures, inspects, closes and opens building for use. Serves as the second responder in emergencies as outline in the Airport Emergency Plan. Complies with safety standards and airport procedures. Coordinates with airlines, airfield tenants, and stakeholders to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the airport.
High School diploma or equivalent with one year experience in a related field. Familiarity with the airport operations & security regulations is highly desirable. Must have valid Michigan driver’s license and good driving record, and be a Michigan resident for one year. Must pass ten-year fingerprint check based on criminal history records as mandated by the FAA.

The Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport is a non-hub commercial service airport located in Southwest Michigan owned by the County of Kalamazoo and operated by the Kalamazoo County Aeronautics Board of Trustees. The airport is served by Delta and American Airlines and serves a variety of general aviation operations, including student pilot's from Western Michigan University's College of Aviation which is conveniently located just 16 miles west of Kalamazoo in Battle Creek, Michigan.
