This position serves as an integral part and lead point-of-contact for the Aviation Planning, planning and execution of the Noise and Environmental Programs with critical input into the objectives, initiatives, and plans for the success of the overall programs for the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority (PTAA). This position manages all facets of project activities (in the traditional plan-design-construct continuum), real estate transactions, special development activities, and may serve as the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) maintenance and contact point. Position performs oversight and technical management of engineering and architectural projects and compiles data and reports, as well as conducts project inspections.
Applicant must have:
Considerable knowledge of and demonstrated experience with Aviation planning, engineering, environmental and architectural principles and practices.
Demonstrated excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to and demonstrated experience with project management, including but not limited to: visiting project and program sites; make inspections and file necessary status reports.
Ability to and demonstrated experience with developing and maintaining an effective working relationship with contractors, engineers, consulting firms, attorneys, other airport employees and the general public.
Considerable knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations and requirements for development projects with special emphasis on FAA requirements is desired.
