Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business, Public Administration, Aviation Management or Equivalent experience
• Three (3) years of experience working in a responsible or supervisory capacity in internal business functions, including accounts payable, procurement, accounts receivable, payroll, grant compliance, and like functions. Experience at a governmental entity is preferred
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Prefer a candidate with thorough understanding of airport financial requirements including: FAA Airport Improvement Program grand assurances, Transportation Security Administration requirements, and Federal Aviation laws
• Five (5) or more years of relatable experience

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the following:

• Development of capital and operating budgets; determines financial impact of the budget plan and prepares analyses for the Director’s review, monitoring actual results and recommending alternative action to achieve budgeted totals
• Manages and directs the preparation of invoices, timely approval, and payment of capital and other contact payment request
• Maintains the proper documentation and classification of fixed assets
• Oversees the development and implementation of general policies and procedures regarding the Airport’s financial activities.
• As a member of the management team, participates in the development of the organization’s mission, vision, values, goals, and performance measures; develops strategic plans and policies, procedures, resources, and budgets
• Attends monthly board meetings to present budget modification, recommendations for the approval or disapproval of goods and services procured and provide input and advise on other organization issues.
• Coordinates, prepares, proofreads, and finalizes all meeting agendas and meeting packet materials, and distributes to all board members, staff, and guest.
• Creates and manages airport calendar to include all compliance and financial deadlines
• Prepares processes and ensues that all legal and public notices are published

• Monitoring accounting operations to ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS, OIG and other regulatory requirements and Airport policies
• Provide strategic and financial management leadership for the Airport including funding, budgeting, cash management, and accounting
• Ensures that the Airport’s administrative and financial functions are in compliance with city, state and federal government regulatory agencies
• Monitors budget and project revenue estimates
• Oversight of airport financial audits, such as annual Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) audits and operating audits
