Manages ongoing inspection of airfield operations and facilities to ensure compliance with the Airport Certification Manual under Federal Aviation Regulation Part 139 (FAR Part 139) and other applicable federal regulations; interprets and applies all information from FAA Advisory Circulars. Duties may vary according to job assignment.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred; AND one year of progressively responsible experience in airport operations; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Required Licenses or Certifications:

• Private Pilot’s License Preferred.
• AAAE Airport Security Coordinator Certification preferred.
• ICS Certifications (ICS 100, 200, NIMS 300, 700, 800) preferred or within six months from date of hire.
• Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.

Skill in:

• Troubleshooting parking systems.
• Operating a computer including standard software and some specialized software.
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
• Organizing and prioritizing work to meet deadlines.
• Operating tools, equipment, and machinery in compliance with safety procedures and practices.
• Handling multiple tasks simultaneously, under pressure, and in emergency and stressful situations.
• Interacting with people of different social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds.
• Following and effectively communicating verbal and written instructions.
• Utilizing standard personal computer software programs and specialized state and County software.
• Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
