Preference will be given to applicants with direct related experience working in a highly stressful environment, law enforcement, security, military, emergency management. Consideration will be given to applicants with directly related experience in operations, customer service and administrative skills within an aviation setting. Knowledge in administrative regulatory/statutory guidelines in a large airline hub setting a plus. Excellent customer service skills highly desirable. The ability to create and write safety reports a plus. Candidates with the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing when using bilingual or multilingual skills to communication with customers a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Use of a two-way radio, creating and maintaining of electronic reports, and willing and available to work all shifts, including rotation, weekends and holidays when needed is highly desired. The role of the Senior Landside Agent acts in a lead capacity to the Landside Agent and assists in providing the safe, secure, and efficient movement of the traveling public, baggage, and motor vehicles within the perimeters of William P. Hobby Airport (HOU). This role is responsible for responding to all airport incidents, manage roadways, tenant areas, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local rules and regulations. The Senior Landside Agent reports unsafe conditions, identifies policy and procedure violations, and takes corrective action as needed. The Senior Landside Agent will operate a Houston Airport motor vehicle to patrol roadways, report conditions, respond to incidents and/or other traffic related issues. Assist in training of Landside Agents and may assume the role of an Airport Operations Supervisor-Landside. Contributes to the team by performing other duties as assigned. Follows the Airport Security Plan. Supports security activities and maintains reports.
EDUCATIONREQUIREMENTS Requires a bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Airway Science, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Two years of experience in airport operations, airport security, airport safety and/or any other related field is required.
Directly related professional experience in airport operations/security or customer service may substitute for the above education requirement on a year-for-year basis. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS Requires a valid Class C Texas Driver's license and compliance with GOH policies on driving.
