Preference will be given to applicants with experience in the emergency and safety management profession. Great business writing skills, with excellent investigation report writing skills is preferred. A working knowledge of federal code of regulations Title 49, Parts 1542 and 1544, Federal, State, and local aviation policies and procedures is highly desirable. Professional experience involving lead or supervisory responsibilities is a plus.

The Airport Operations Supervisor-Landside promotes a customer-friendly experience while maintaining a safe and efficient operation by managing roadways, terminals, and commercial ground transportation at William P. Hobby Airport. The Airport Operations Supervisor-Landside leads a team of front-line employees who have a thorough understanding of airport activities and proactively and quickly respond to mitigate issues. The Airport Operations Supervisor-Landside is also responsible for traffic management at the curb, supports with security compliance, and provides onsite investigations and facility inspections. The Airport Operations Supervisor- Landside is required to have a good understanding of human resources policies and be equipped to handle issues with integrity and professionalism. This position consists of additional duties that will be assigned to support the overall operation. Assumes the role and responsibilities of the Division Manager-Landside Operations during his or her absence. Contributes to the team effort by performing related duties as needed.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Requires a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Airway Science, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in airport operations of an airport are required.

LICENSE/CLEARANCE: Requires a valid Class C Texas driver's license and compliance with the City of Houston's policy on driving (AP 2-2).
