What Success Looks Like In This Job Under the general direction and guidance of the Airport Operations and Maintenance Manager, the Operations and Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing, and organizing the daily operations and maintenance crew performing a variety of work at the Colorado Air and Space Port (CASP). The work performed includes but is not limited to: operations, custodial care, maintenance, alteration, repair and construction of airport buildings, airfields, and equipment. The Operations & Maintenance Supervisor will work to promote a positive work environment through adhering to high ethical standards, promoting the Adams County and Airport norms and values, policies, procedures, cooperation, teamwork, and leading by example.
This position provides supervision of all Operations & Maintenance staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance management; responding to customer complaints, problems, and requests; and maintaining appropriate inventory levels and assisting with maintenance and operations services tasks, as necessary.
More Qualifications for Success
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities are as follows: Education & Training:
A bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
Minimum of three (3) years’ of increasingly responsible experience in an aviation operations and maintenance field.
Including a minimum of 1 year of supervisory or lead experience.
License or Certificate:
A valid Colorado Class R Driver’s License.
FEMA NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800 must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting must be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Work Environment – Regularly exposed to the following conditions:
Exposure to the elements and work in all weather conditions.
Work near moving mechanical parts.
Stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feed, Reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Vision Demands: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), Peripheral vision, Depth perception, Ability to adjust focus.
NOISE LEVEL: Moderate to Very Loud.
Candidate must be flexible with work hours, which will vary depending on department requirements.
Ability to work overtime.
Ability to be on-call and respond on a 24-hour basis.
