The Planning Engineer will, under general supervision from the Engineering and Planning Director, initiate, coordinate, and develop airport planning documents and programs for the Gerald R. Ford International Airport. The position is responsible for the planning and coordination of long-term plans/master plans and airport layout plans (ALP), working closely with other Gerald R. Ford International Airport Authority (GFIAA) departments, airport tenants and with other governmental jurisdictions, serving as a key planning liaison to the Federal Aviation Administration, MDOT Office of Aeronautics, and the Grand Valley Metro Council.
