Performs complex professional and administrative work overseeing the operations of the County Airport, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of the Assistant County Manager. Departmental supervision is exercised over all personnel within the department. Oversees the operation of the County's Part 139 certified commercial airport, to include additional airline carriers, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. Supervises the development, implementation, and management of the airport civil aviation security program in accordance with federal security regulations. Manages the planning, design, development, and construction of airport projects, including the selection and management of consultants and management of capital grants.
