This position assists the Airport Director in all Airport related issues. Duties include ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the department by assisting the Director in planning, directing, coordinating, and monitoring the administration of the department; Periodically reviewing Airport master plan to determine compliance, changes, or making recommendations; Assisting in developing, planning, preparing, and enforcing departmental policies and procedures in order to enhance the productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness of the department. Competencies for successful performance include knowledge of laws relating to the FAA, TSA's, and Homeland Security's rules and governance for the national airport system and comprehensive understanding of federal grant assurances.
