This is technical work in receiving and transmitting a variety of calls to include normal, irregular, emergency calls, information and messages within the Airport Operations Control Center (AOCC) and in coordination with JAA personnel, airlines, tenants, TSA, FAA, and other agencies/groups at JAX. Work requires knowledge of emergency and routine communications operating procedures, with the ability to operate various communications equipment, including phones and radios. Contacts require answering and responding to various types of calls from individuals and require assertiveness as well as sensitivity to ensure appropriate information is gathered and transmitted according to the situation.
