The Garden City Regional Airport is a primary non-hub airport located in Garden City, Kansas. The Operations and Maintenance Director manages all aspects of airport operations and maintenance. The position requires a combination of knowledge and skills to include airfield operations and maintenance, building maintenance, equipment maintenance, equipment operation, construction oversite, manual work functions, planning, scheduling, supervising a team, compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, employee training, and other duties assigned. The position supervises seven employees and reports to the Director of Aviation. Salary range $66,622 - $84,510. Bachelor's degree in business, aviation management or public administration preferred. Three (3) years of experience in Airport operations, (2) years in snow removal and (2) years of supervisory responsibilities preferred. In lieu of degree, additional work experience and/or trade school is acceptable.
