This position oversees and directs the daily and seasonal maintenance duties for the field maintenance department including front line contact with various stakeholders for snow removal operations at the Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport. Duties also include management and maintenance of airside and landside areas such as runways, taxiways, ramps, turf areas, drainage systems, pollution control systems, fences, signs, public roads, parking lots, walks and other public facing areas. Responsible for the safety of personnel and equipment in the performance of all duties. Assigns duties and hours of work. Performs inspections and prepares required reports. Assists the Field Maintenance Manager/Operations and Field Maintenance Manager/Planning in the performance of all designated job functions, and in the absence of the manager, assumes full responsibility for completion of tasks. Collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders to meet customer needs.

 Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of experience working in airport operations or airport management or five years of management experience in street maintenance, exterior property maintenance or general construction.
• Professional knowledge of the safe operation of trucks, tools, and equipment 
• Three years of supervisory experience where the primary duties included hiring, delegating, coaching, rewarding and disciplining employees 
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with a wide variety of people.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee information
• Basic skill level using Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Ability to respond to emergencies or snow events during off hours
• Valid state issued driver’s license 
• Ability to obtain the MSP AOA-runway/taxiway license within 30 days of hire
