You are excited about this opportunity because you will:
Lead a group of experts with diverse experience through the SRM process
Manage the execution of mitigation strategies and follow up analysis to assure the mitigation efficacy
Design safety campaigns, policies and procedures to improve safety across the airport
Investigate and report on safety related incidents using traditional and digital sources to create usable data
Compiling and processing safety data from multiple sources to develop KPI’s and trend analysis
Work well in a team environment that is constantly changing and requires flexibility to create the safest outcome for passengers and employees, and,
Perform related duties identified in the City & County of San Francisco's job classification for 1824.
What you’ll possess:
Experience participating and leading a group to move a hazard through the Safety Risk Management(SRM) process of a Safety Management System(SMS)
Inspecting and reporting of an airfield in compliance with FAR 139 Operations
Responding and report writing on Aviation based incidents
Grant writing for FAA AIP funding
Operating in a safety leadership position for a FAR 121, FAR 135 or FAR 291 Operator
Analyzing, processing and presenting safety based data through digital tools including Excel, Tableau, ESRI, Power BI, etc.
Job Requirements:
Education: Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, and;
Experience: Five (5) years full-time equivalent experience performing professional-level analytical work. Qualifying professional-level analytical work includes analysis, development, administration, and reporting in major programs and functions of an organization in the areas of budgets, contracts, grants, policy, or other functional areas related to the duties of positions in the 182X Class series.
Substitution: Possession of a graduate degree (Master's degree or higher) from an accredited college or university with major coursework in specialized subject matter areas such as public or business administration, management, business law, contract law, public policy, urban studies, economics, statistical analysis, finance, accounting or other fields of study closely related to the essential functions of positions in the Class series may be substituted for one (1) year of required experience.
Additional experience as described above may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis (up to a maximum of 2 years). Thirty (30) semester units or forty-five (45) quarter units equal one year.
Working Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
Note: A hybrid work schedule is available with onsite core days.
