This position supports the 24/7/365 operations of Eppley Airfield and Millard Airport. The candidate shall work as an essential part of the Operations Department while also supporting Administration (Commercial, Business, and Planning & Engineering) functions of the airport. Operations duties include overseeing the daily operations of the airport with particular emphasis on airfield operations including FAA regulatory compliance, safety, security, aircraft movement, snow removal, NOTAM issuance, weather observation, and command and control of emergency response operations. Administration duties may include collecting and interpreting data, analyzing results and reporting the results back to the relevant members of the Authority.
Schedule is 40 hours per week, which includes nights, weekends, and holidays. The position is also subject to recall after normal duty hours. Schedule may vary during the initial training/probationary period. May require assignment to any shift based operational and administrative needs of the airport.

The candidate must complete the Operations Supervisor On-the-Job training program within 120 days of employment, and acquire and maintain working knowledge of FAA requirements for the operation of a certificated, commercial airport. The candidate must possess and maintain a thorough knowledge of Omaha Airport Authority rules, regulations and policies. General knowledge of the aviation industry, in particular the needs and requirements of flight operations is necessary. The ability to make quick decisions and to adopt and/or modify established practices and procedures to emergency situations and the ability to deal tactfully and effectively with tenants, airport users and outside agencies/contractors. Strong leadership, communication and management skills are necessary to be successful in this position as well as the ability to prepare accurate and comprehensive oral and written reports, logs and NOTAMs. Must be able to communicate on radios in a clear and concise manner. Experience working with computer software programs such as Microsoft Office in conjunction with various internal software and data entry programs. Visual acuity: correctable 20/20, and ability to distinguish primary colors is a requirement. You must maintain a valid state driver’s license and maintain non-movement and movement area driving qualifications.
Omaha Eppley Airfield, located within a metropolitan area just shy of 1 million residents, is a medium-hub airport that served more than 5 million passengers in 2023 and is the largest airport in the State of Nebraska. Eight airlines provide approximately 70 departures per day to over 31 nonstop destinations from Eppley. Millard Airport is a general aviation reliever airport located in southwest Omaha with approximately 24,000 aircraft operations annually.
