This position will serve as the primary point of contact for the day-to-day interactions with the Fixed Base Operator (“FBO”) and general aviation (“GA”)/ corporate aviation tenants based at CLT. The FBO at CLT is operated by a third-party on behalf of the City through a management services contract which generates over $7.5 million in annual revenue. The FBO & Fueling Lease Coordinator will administer the terms of that management services contract and oversee all leased properties on the FBO campus.
This position will also be responsible for overseeing the Airport Fuel System Lease with the Airline Fuel Consortium which generates over $1.5 million in annual revenue. The FBO & Fueling Lease Coordinator will act as liaison in the day-to-day interactions between the Consortium chair, the Consortium’s local operations lead, and CLT staff.

Standard office hours apply, however schedule subject to irregular hours, overtime, and emergency calls back to work.
Some job functions may be done through telework; however primary job functions require in-person/on-site work.
Valid driver’s license in state of residency and ability to obtain and maintain a City Driving Permit.
Ability to pass a background check in advance of start date required. Certain convictions will disqualify individuals from unescorted access privileges and therefore exclude from employment.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Support the Airline Affairs Manager by managing the day-to-day relationship with the FBO Operator and by administering the terms and conditions of the FBO Services Management Agreement;
Support the Airline Affairs Manager in the day-to-day relationship between the Airport and the Charlotte Fuel Consortium including, without limitation, the implementation of periodic rent adjustments and overseeing other financial activities related to the Fuel Consortium;
Oversee the negotiation, execution, and administration of lease agreements at the FBO ensuring that all space is leased on the basis of highest and best use;
Provide analytical, research and project support to the Airline Affairs Manager related to FBO/GA and Fueling Facilities;
Actively track the FBO budgeted expenses, including equipment needs, and revenues, and report out to CLT Leadership;
Generate GA activity reports, P&L statements, and other ad hoc data requests related to both FBO/GA and fueling operations;
Assist in execution of future development strategy to meet the goals identified in the overall CLT Master Plan including the GA Master Plan;
Act as liaison between FBO personnel, Fuel Consortium chair and members, CLT staff, City of Charlotte representatives, and other tenants/stakeholders as needed; including special events;
Host and attend regular meetings with both FBO Management Company and Fuel Consortium members to maintain good relationships and be aware of operations; and
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Must be able to work irregular hours and shifts as needed
Position must be able to maintain airport security clearance.
Preferred Qualification
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in contract management and/or contract administration and/or tenant property management required. Master’s level degree and one year relevant experience or Bachelor’s level degree and three years relevant work experience or high school diploma and five years relevant work experience. Aviation industry experience, particularly in relation to aircraft fueling operations and/or FBO operations, strongly preferred; AAAE certification(s) including AAE, ACE, CM) are a plus and/or an equivalent combination of education (post high school) and experience.
