The position is responsible for oversight of airside and landside operations, coordinating routine activities, and responding to irregular events at HVN. Serves as a liaison to tenants, passengers, and other stakeholders. Conduct airside safety self-inspections and maintain pertinent records in compliance with FAR Part 139 and the Airport Certification (ACM). Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) duties. During periods of snow and ice removal, drive and operate all major snow removal equipment. Coordinate construction and maintenance activities on or near the facility to ensure safety and operational readiness. Responds to all requests for medical assistance and coordinate with mutual aid response at the airport. Responsible for oversight of landside operations including vehicle traffic and parking, terminal operations and compliance with the Airport Security Plan and TSR 1542. Issue and disseminate Notices to Air Missions (NOTAM) and airfield condition reports. Fullfils special roles within the operations department as defined by management.
Bachelor's degree with a focus in airport management preferred, as well as experience in airport operations or related field. Minimum three (3) years of experience in airside operations and Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting at a Part 139 airport required. Applicants possessing a degree in an aviation related field will be eligible for consideration with one (1) year of experience. Demonstrate ability to supervise in a complex environment without direct supervision. Previous experience in airport emergency planning, and snow removal is preferred. Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to obtain and sustain a valid driver's license in the person's state of residence, and maintain driver record compatible with Company's insurance company's criteria. Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
